tHAWT Episode #150: Convict us of disorganized crime

This week's episode of tHAWT is another one of our solo sessions, this time with me in the driver's seat. The first news item I covered was a follow-up on the continuing saga of TWC and its Internet caps, which it decided was not a good idea at this time. TWC did, however, decide to develop some metering software for its customers so they can actually see how much they are downloading, I think this is a much better  first step. TWC was also in the news for telling the FCC to shut up about Net Neutrality. Other items include:

eBay selling off StumbleUpon
eBay planning on spinning off Skype as in IPO
Verizon getting into the app store game with apps for its Hub product
CNN obtains its very popular twitter account
CNN admits defeat to Ashton Kutcher on twitter
The Pirate Bay founders sent to jail, and are surprised about it too
AT&T suffers another fiber cut
Looks like Oz Govt is for real about its 43B broadband plan
A biometric authentication device that scans palms in milliseconds, just wave.
A smart and secure USB drive
