PodSnacks: Local Access and Transport Area

If you are in the telecommunications industry, this is very likely a familiar term to you. Local access and transport area (LATA) is a regulatory term. It has to do with an event known as the Modified Final Judgment (MFJ) and the distinction between local exchange carriers (LEC) and interexchange carriers (IXC).
