PodSnacks: Real-time Transport Protocol

Since we spent a little time talking about the User Datagram Protocol (UDP) yesterday, this seemed like a good time to take a look at another Transport Layer function that is increasingly important today: the Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP). RTP plays an important role in providing information transport support to any application that has real-time characteristics. That would include things like making telephone calls or having video conferencing sessions across data networks. In today's PodSnack, I'll give you some background and explain the basics.
