I'm on the road this week and teaching a class on optical networks and a bit of wireless. So I figured I'd just harness some of the material I'm teaching for today's PodSnack. SO for today I've chosen to talk about Ethernet over SONET (EoS). EoS is an important enabling technology, making it possible for the carriers and MSOs to offer their customers a familiar technology as a service (e.g., Ethernet) while harnessing the vast SONET infrastructure they've built out over the years. In the coming days, we'll explore some of the related topics.
