Disruption - Introducing Web 2.0

Let's try something a little different.  I've been blogging for several years now and podcasting for...gosh, about a year and half, so I've been very interested in the practical application of Web 2.0. What is it?  I'm glad you asked!

Here is the first in a non-linear series of "information nuggets" from Hill Associates about emerging IP applications. We'll be producing these things regularly, albeit somewhat unpredictably, over the next few months and eventually tie all the nuggets together to create a long-form course available online.  To whet your appetite, here's our short (7 minutes, 3MB) introduction to a wonderfully disruptive innovation.

I've really become enamoured with subatomicglue.  I discovered them via Creative Commons back in July/August when we were putting together that introductory video for FOCUS (https://www.travelhq.com/events/attfocus2006/pretrip/welcome.mtc).

They just seem to have the right feel for audio (and video) productions about telecom and technology in general.  But the best part is their licensing lets us do whatever we want with the music so long as we give attribution!

"Putting up a few links and images doesn't cut it anymore. To bring your site into the Web 2.0 world, you need to know about Ajax, ActiveX, RSS, and other key technologies."

Check out the latest article from Information Week at http://www.informationweek.com/news/showArticle.jhtml?articleID=196513700&pgno=1&queryText=

And I was just about to go out and buy another box of Ajax cause we were out.  :-)

One more reference for those wanting to stay in the know is from CIO magazine.  A special report on Web 2.0 from http://www.cioinsight.com/article2/0,1540,2023148,00.asp

This links to many other articles, including a primer on Web 2.0.
